If a transaction is refused, it is because something is wrong with the payment system, your payment terminal, or the customer's card.

The error message on your payment terminal will provide further information on the refusal. Error messages that you may see

  1. Card can't be read
    • Remove the card from the payment terminal and insert it correctly.
  2. Invalid card
    • The payment terminal has not recognised the card. It could be that the relevant card is not accepted by your payment terminal. Check to ensure the credit card brand is part of your package.
  3. Processing error. Possible reasons for this message are:
    • No answer from the provider
    • The transaction is cancelled by the user
    • There are technical problems
    • Try to complete the transaction again.
